GPC's ongoing commitment to providing residents and visitors to Gladstone with greater access to the waterfront through the provision of world-class waterfront parklands is evidenced by facilities such as the Gladstone Marina and Spinnaker Park.
Together they put Gladstone on the map as being home to one of Australia's most outstanding Marina developments and ultimate recreational waterfront facilities.
The Gladstone Marina and Spinnaker Park provide a place for residents and visitors alike to make use of facilities including bbq and picnic areas, sheltered seating areas, public amenities, a beached cove, native wetlands and ponds and 2.5 kilometres of walking tracks.
Year in, year out, locals and visitors embrace the Port of Gladstone’s Marina parklands as a venue for numerous community events such as birthday parties, christenings and weddings. The Marina is also home to several high profile events including Gladstone’s Harbour Festival, the Seafood Festival and the Port of Gladstone’s biennial Port Open Day.
Whilst GPC can't reserve shelters or bbqs for community members, if you are looking to have a function in the Marina parklands that involves use of a marquee, amusement rides such as jumping castles or has over 50 attendees, you can
apply for a permit to use a specific area.
Alcohol consumption is allowed in certain areas of the parklands between 10am and 8.30pm. The maps below illustrate the new designated 'wet areas' where alcohol can be consumed.
Marina parklands 'wet areas'
Spinnaker Park 'wet areas'
All other areas within the Marina and Spinnaker Park will be alcohol free. Glass is prohibited.
