Western Basin Dredging Project information stall at Calliope markets - Friday, May 11, 2012
GPC's Western Basin Dredging and Disposal Project held a community information stall at the Calliope Markets last Sunday. The stall had information about environmental conditions, water quality, seagrass and dredging in the Gladstone harbour and allowed local people to ask questions and get the key facts about the dredging project.

Students learn about Gladstone harbour science - Tuesday, May 08, 2012
Gladstone Central State School students learnt about the science behind the GPC Western Basin Dredging and Disposal Project in the Gladstone harbour last week. As part of the Western Basin Dredging and Disposal Project (WBDDP) schools program, year six and seven students were taught about water turbidity and metals and what it means within the Gladstone harbour.

Cutter suction dredging suspended during high turbidity levels in Gladstone harbour - Tuesday, May 08, 2012
The Al Mahaar Cutter Suction Dredge operations were reduced on Saturday 5 May and ceased operating at 5.55pm on Sunday 6 May. The recent lunar events have meant a very large tidal range is recorded in the area and is having a significant effect on water turbidity in Gladstone harbour.
