GPC’s Gladstone, Rockhampton and Bundaberg port facilities are home to many different types of megafauna or large animals.

The species of megafauna commonly found in our regions are:

  • Shorebirds
  • Turtles
  • Cetaceans
  • Fish
  • Dugongs
  • Crustaceans

We conduct regular research and monitoring programs to provide information on the health of our megafauna and their habitats to ensure their long-term conservation in our areas.
