PORT OPEN DAY
GPC’s biennial Port Open Day provides Central Queensland residents and visitors to the region with an opportunity to view first-hand how the Port of Gladstone operates.
Held within the Gladstone Marina parklands, the event offers informative port tours, industry displays, BIG Equipment Display, a Museum Marquee, prizes, amusement rides and live entertainment. A free sausage sizzle lunch, complete with drinks and ice creams is also provided, with GPC’s very own mascot, Curtis the Turtle, the star attraction for the day. GPC will stage its next Port Open Day in 2011.
GLADSTONE HARBOUR FESTIVAL
The Gladstone Harbour Festival is a week long event held within GPC's Marina parklands providing a range of activities and entertainment. GPC has been a major supporter of the Festival since its inception, not only providing the venue but also many hours of in-kind support in preparation for this popular event. In addition, the Corporation also sponsors the ‘GPC Family Fun Night,’ an exciting evening of free family-friendly entertainment on the Marina stage.
MULTICULTURAL FESTIVAL
The annual Gladstone Multicultural Festival gives locals and visitors the chance to experience and learn more about the many different cultures that exist in the Gladstone community. GPC is proud to provide the venue for this valuable event, in addition to its sponsorship of festival activities.
