The Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) is committed to protecting user privacy. We understand and appreciate that visitors and users of this website are concerned about their privacy and the confidentiality and security of any information that may be provided to us.

The Queensland Government has established a privacy regime for public sector agencies based on 11 Information Privacy Principles. These are contained in Information Standard 42 - Information Privacy that agencies are required to adhere to. To satisfy this need, we have developed a privacy plan on the 11 Information Privacy Principles specified in the information standard.

When you visit this website, our server makes a record of your visit and logs the following information:
  • the user's server address;
  • the user's top level domain name (for example .com, .gov .au, etc.);
  • the date and time you visited the site;
  • the pages accessed and documents downloaded;
  • the previous site visited, and
the type of browser you use.

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may request inspection of the activity logs, through appropriate legal processes. Logs may be monitored by the GPC's web team for system troubleshooting and maintenance purposes.
