A/CEO Letter RE: COVID-19

19 March 2020

Dear customers and valued partners,

As we navigate through the unprecedented times that face us with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we continue to be agile in our response to the situation. We are assessing and adapting preparations and actions as a business and service provider, ensuring we can facilitate essential trade for not only the country, but the supply chain as a whole.

Gladstone Ports Corporation (GPC) are conscious of our role in your supply chains and we encourage you to maintain open communication with us over the coming days, weeks and months as we all adjust to the changing landscape.

Our first priority is to ensure the wellbeing and safety of our people that keep our ports trading.

As you have done with your businesses, we too have put into place a considered and measured business continuity plan. Our service level is essential to our plans and we have already employed many facets of our plan to control any potential impact across the supply chains we participate in.

GPC will continue to facilitate communication forums for our customers and valued partners and I would further encourage your staff to maintain communication with their respective GPC delegate, for the most up to date and factual information.

Our website will provide updates on the evolving situation however, we do appreciate many of you may require other pertinent information specific to your requirements.

We are further considering the best way to provide critical information to better assist you in understanding the measures we are taking to manage specific risks such pilotage services, port services and coal terminal operations.

It is important we work together as participants in our supply chains to maintain the transportation of critical freight through our ports. Our crisis management team is in constant communication, monitoring the situation closely, and will continue to do so.

If you have specific concerns or require information, we will be available at all times.

This time is unmatched with any we have faced before, and we will continue to operate and conduct ourselves in a collaborative and community minded way.

I wish you, your family, friends and colleagues all the very best during these uneasy times.
