Choice - Passion - Life Bundaberg
Choice, Passion, Life (CPL) will be continuing their good work in the Bundaberg region after securing $2,916 in sponsorship from Gladstone Ports Corporation’s (GPC) Community Investment Program.
Formerly known as the Cerebral Palsy League, CPL is a leading provider of integrated support, therapy and advice for people living with a disability in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
Providing a social enterprise in Landscape and Garden Maintenance, the CPL Mylestones Garden Crew Equipment Project will provide employment for six people in the Bundaberg region.
GPC Acting CEO Craig Walker said the program allows people with a disability to undertake garden maintenance contracts within their community.
“This program provides meaningful employment and economic participation to community members that struggle to secure employment,” Mr Walker said.
“The program is established in the Gladstone and Rockhampton regions as well and will now provide 24 jobs across the three regions.
“I think it is a fantastic initiative in our community, and it is great to see the Garden Crews now permanently established in Bundaberg.”
The CPL Mylestones Garden Crew was initially established as a start-up program with limited equipment.
Now permanently established, CPL Mylestones Garden Crew will use the sponsorship to purchase commercial grade equipment to keep up with the demands of their growing social enterprise.
GPC has a proud history of creating and facilitating prosperity for Queenslanders and we’re pleased to be able to support CPL with this initiative.
