Port to Park
The event will run in GPC's beautiful parklands, highlighting all three areas - East Shores, The Gladstone Marina and Spinnaker Park.
There will be two race events for participants to choose from including the 9 kilometre Koongo Dash and the 3 kilometre Yallarm Family Run.
Both race names recognise the language of the Traditional Owners of the land - the Bailai and Gooreng Gooreng nations, with Koongo
meaning place of water and meaning place of shells. Please refer to the Event Terms and Conditions.

Course cut off times
In order to meet our road re-opening schedule, course cut off times will apply to the 9km and 3km events. Any participant who is unable to meet the course cut off times will be required to exit the roadway. It is a condition of entry that all participants are required to abide by any instructions from the authorities regarding the enforcement of these cut off times.
Free Shuttle Bus
A free shuttle bus service will be operating between 5:30am - 12pm.
The service will be running continuously from the following pick up/drop off points to Flinders Parade (East Shores 1B)
Gladstone PCYC (At Side St)
Gladstone Showgrounds (At Tank St)
Goondoon Street (Queens Hotel Bus stop)
To ensure the safety of participants and the community, the following roads will be closed on event day:
5:00am - 10:30am Flinders Parade
5:00am - 10:30am Goondoon St from Lord St to Roseberry St
5:00am - 10:30am Central Ln from Lord St to Roseberry St
5:00am - 10:30am Roseberry St from Goondoon St to Central Ln
5:00am - 10:30am Lord St from Goondoon St to Glenlyon St
5:00am - 10:30am Bryan Jordan Dr
5:00am - 10:30am Alf O’Rourke Dr from Bryan Jordan Dr to Spinnaker park
Access to the Matthew Flinders Bridge will remain closed to all marine and vehicular traffic from 5am to 10:30am or until the last of the runners have returned to the East Shores finish line.
These temporary road closures will also impact the East Shores 1A/1B car parks, Gladstone VMR boat ramp, Gladstone Yacht Club boat ramp and O’Connell Wharf.
To avoid delays, motorists are encouraged to plan their trips to avoid travelling between these times. Gladstone Ports Corporation thanks you for your patience and co-operation during this event.
