Race Information

Course Overview 


The event will run in GPC's beautiful parklands, highlighting all three areas - East Shores, The Gladstone Marina and Spinnaker Park. 

There will be two race events for participants to choose from including the 9 kilometre Koongo Dash and the 3 kilometre Yallarm Family Run.

Both race names recognise the language of the Traditional Owners of the land - the Bailai and Gooreng Gooreng nations, with Koongo 

meaning place of water and meaning place of shells. Please refer to the Event Terms and Conditions.

Registration Prices

The below registration fees apply to both the 3km and 9km Port to Park events.















This year, participants can benefit from the Early Bird discount when they register before Sunday 18 July at 11.59pm.

Terms of Use:   Early Bird discount offer is valid for all registrations (excluding registrations in the category of ‘Children 4yrs and under), until 11:59pm AEST, Sunday 18.07.2021. Enter P2PEARLY at the checkout for discount to apply, with only one discount valid per transaction. The Code cannot be applied in conjunction with other promotional codes. Refunds will not be issued to patrons who fail to use the early bird discount code at the checkout.

Event Merchandise

All registered race participants (excluding registrations in the category of ‘Children 4yrs and under’) are eligible to receive a complimentary race merchandise item. Children's size 4 shirts are available to purchase for $5.00.  The 2021 race merchandise are mini mesh Micro-dry™ race t-shirt. Please see the Event Merchandise Sizing Information Sheet for more information.  Participants acknowledge that race merchandise items and sizes are limited and that there is no guarantee of receiving a merchandise item in the event that the Merchandise Items are no longer available.

Race Office

The Race Office is located at CQUniversity Gladstone Marina Campus in the Leo Zussino Building, 613 Bryan Jordan Drive.


Opening Hours
The Race Office will be open during the following hours:
• 7:30am to 6:30pm on Friday 13 August
• 8:00am to 12:00pm on Saturday 14  August

Race Day Information

Course cut off times 

In order to meet our road re-opening schedule, course cut off times will apply to the 9km and 3km events. Any participant who is unable to meet the course cut off times will be required to exit the roadway. It is a condition of entry that all participants are required to abide by any instructions from the authorities regarding the enforcement of these cut off times.

More information on drink stations, transport and parking will be provided closer to the date. 

Road Closures 

Road closures will be in place on race day to ensure the safety of participants and the community. Access to the Matthew Flinders (Gladstone Marina) Bridge will remain closed from 5:00am to 10:30am or until the last runners have returned to the East Shores finish line. To avoid delays, motorists are encouraged to plan their trips to avoid travelling between these times.
